Introduction
Computer-generated and manipulated imagery is becoming easier to produce - and harder to dismiss without proper assessment. In an investigation, that creates a new operational requirement: imagery cannot simply be accepted at face value.
When the team received imagery of an individual as part of an existing case, they needed to assess whether it was authentic, manipulated or likely AI-generated before relying on it further.
