Introduction

Location data is often critical. But what happens when internet access is restricted and your analysis has to be air-gapped?

That was the challenge faced by a Detective Inspector working a case involving thousands of illicit images and videos.

S21 VisionX delivered a solution that didn’t need a signal to be effective.

Offline GPS Analysis

The inspector wasn’t looking to identify devices — she was focused on where the images were taken. In particular, whether any matched a known area of interest.

Using S21 VisionX's offline mapping capability, the inspector:

Imported data from various third-party tools
Let the AI narrow down material based on faces, age and abuse content
Mapped image locations without needing internet access

With a few clicks, the material was filtered down to only what was captured in the geographic zone of concern.

S21 VisionX visualised GPS findings without the cloud — and helped locate a child in danger.

Using location-based filtering and visualisation, the inspector found what mattered: a clear link between the content and the suspect’s residence. Crucially, one of the victims was identified and safeguarded as a direct result.
