Case details entered by the investigator
Using S21 AutomateX, the investigator sets case details, selects one or more physical drives which are automatically imaged, or suspect images (E01, VMDK … etc) to analyse, then chooses from pre-defined processing levels (completely configurable to suit your workflow). No further manual interaction is required.
X-Ways Forensics processing, automated by S21 AutomateX
S21 AutomateX automatically launches X-Ways Forensics, creating a case, generating disk images (if applicable) running all relevant processing and creating a full X-Ways save file. It then exports all image and video media using the latest S21 Jedson X-Tension (excluding legally held media, if set).
S21 LASERi-X case and AI processing, automated by S21 AutomateX
S21 AutomateX automatically launches S21 LASERi-X, creating a case, importing the media from X-Ways and running selected processing, including comparing against the S21 Global Alliance Database (GAD) and S21’s automated CSAM detector. The case is now open and ready to complete categorisation and VID.
S21 LASERi-X automatically:

✅ Identifies first-generation CSAM using the S21 CSAM Auto-Categoriser
